A Return To God’s Highway – Prophet Dwayne Howard

(November 10, 2013)

The fate of those who trust in man

Isa.31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord .

Jer.17:1 Judah’s sin is engraved with an iron tool, inscribed with a flint point, on the tablets of their hearts and on the halls of their altars.

Jer17:5 Cursed is the man who does not put His trust in the Lord. But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord.

Jer.17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things . . .” and the Lord tests it. All who forsake The Lord shall be ashamed.

The fate of those who trust in God

We do not experience the supernatural nature of the kingdom until we step out in faith, until we get out of the boat and walk on water.

2 Kings 6:8-23 A great host surrounded Elisha but was not able to harm him because the Lord supernaturally protected him. Similarly, when we rest in God, we do not need to worry. He takes care of us when we do what He has called us to do.

This is the hour to return to God, to trust Him. Do not take on other jobs/ tasks in order to achieve, thinking that your efforts rather than your God, will reward you.

Rev.22:1 The blessings of The Lord are like a tree planted by water. This scripture is mirrored in Jer.17:8

The meaning of water in the Scriptures

Water in the scriptures implies God’s Word and is indicative of life. For example

Ps 46:4 There is a river whose stream makes glad the city of God and Eph 5:26

Ezek 47:9-12 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. . .so wherever the river flows everything will live . . . Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river.

Prophetic word: Every dead thing in your life shall live because the River went there and healed everything. Resurrection life has come to your dead relationships. The Lord is restoring businesses right now.

Ezek. 47:10 “Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds. . .” We are told that these fisher men will cast their nets and capture fish found in the great sea. Here,

“fishermen” refers to us His children. The nets speak of your gifts. The Lord is making provision for your position. When you serve God, your roots go deep down in the river and first class belongs to you. When kings come into the earth, people serve them with gifts because these kings have something to offer. You are kings.

Conclusion

Wise is the man who puts his trust in God rather than man, because there are blessings that follow when we serve God and curses when we serve man. The following scriptures reveal this:

Ezek.47:12 This scripture says that the trees will bear fruit every month. This means that God will supply all your needs. Do not give up, do not unplug. The enemy has been tempting you but he is a deceiver. Get rid of that idolatry that is in your life and go back to church.

Jer.17:6 The cursed man shall not see when good comes because he has put his trust in man.

Prophetic word: However, as for you, no matter how much heat beats down, you are going to convert it and use it as fuel for your growth.
